FIFA World Cup 2026 @ 03.07.2026

Portugal and Croatia face off at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada, in one of the most exciting Round of 32 matches of this 2026 World Cup. The Portuguese are title contenders, although they have raised a few doubts during the group stage. It is true that Roberto Martínez’s side are unbeaten, but they have drawn two matches and were unable to impose their style against Congo and Colombia. The testing phase is now over and they must demonstrate their full potential. The Croatians, for their part, did not get off to a good start. They were outplayed by England, but then won their next two matches thanks to their competitive spirit. The Balkan side are not at their best, but in the last two World Cups they reached the final and the semi-finals, respectively. It’s true that to stand any chance of qualifying, they’ll need to be at their very best and be more solid in defence; otherwise, Portugal won’t let them off the hook.

‘Final score’ prediction

Portugal are the favourites to reach the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup. The Portuguese, with players such as Vitinha, João Neves, Bruno Fernandes, Nuno Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo, amongst others, have arrived at the World Cup in better form. If Roberto Martínez’s side play to their true potential, Croatia will struggle, just as they did against England in their opening match. The Balkan side have shown that defensively they are not as reliable as they have been in recent years. [prediction-item id="3826"]

‘Total goals’ prediction

An interesting market, given the attacking potential of both sides and the fact that Croatia conceded four goals against England, is the goals market. The Portuguese have plenty of firepower in attack. The Croatians, for their part, are not particularly strong at defending their own area when they don’t have the ball. Therefore, a very attractive option is for there to be over 2.5 goals in the ninety minutes. [prediction-item id="3827"]

‘Create Bet’ Prediction

Finally, let’s create a bet with high odds and just two options. Firstly, we’re selecting that both teams will score. It’s unlikely that either side will keep a clean sheet. Secondly, we’re choosing that there will be over 3.5 goals in the match before extra time, as we expect a contest with chances in both penalty areas. [prediction-item id="3828"]
